Why can't I log into Hotmail even though I remember my password?

Typically, if someone has attempted to log into your account numerous times, Hotmail might lock your account. So how do you regain access?
Question:

Hello. I know and I remember my password, but even after resetting it, Hotmail
has blocked my account.

I would like to know why and how to fix the problem. I’ve not had access
for about three weeks.

Hotmail has locked me out!

There are so many reasons that Hotmail might block an account. I’d have to see the exact error message that you’re getting and even then, that error message might be too vague to make any kind of a determination.

Suspect a hacker

Typically, if somebody is trying to log in to your account and gets the password wrong too many times, Hotmail will actually block the account from being logged into by anybody for some period of time.

Now, if this repeatedly happens to you, it could very well be that somebody else is simultaneously trying to log in to that account as well. Since they don’t have your password, they’re getting it wrong every time and Hotmail is blocking them every time… and also blocking you.

Your options

There’s not really a lot you can do about it. I do have an article about it: “Why am I repeatedly locked out of my Hotmail account and what can I do about it?” That would be where I send you to get a little bit further information and maybe grasp at a few straws that might clear this up.

  2. I have tried everything,to get in to my hot mail account,what a nightmare,reset password,gave my mobile to send me a code.really upst,answered security questions,they say i have my Mothers birth place wrong.WHAT!!!!!
