How do I send you files that clarify the problem I'm having?

Question:

I want to send you attached files with screens, dump files, and so on that describe problem that I have. Where do I send
them?

Unfortunately, I have to protect myself and typically do not accept unsolicited attachments and files. I'm sure what you are
sending me is safe, but what about all those other people I don't know? It wouldn't be prudent for me to just accept random files
from just anyone.

This is exactly what I advise my readers.

(And I just don't have the time to pre-screen everything for safety.)

My recommendation is to be as clear as possible when you submit the question. Copy the exact text of error messages, describe the steps to reproduce your problem, and include the names and versions of any software involved in your issue.

99% of the time that's more than enough to get to the heart of the matter. And if I select your question and it's not enough, then I'll be in touch and we can work out a way to get the additional information I might need.

About the only other comment I can make is that if you are comfortable sharing them publicly, you can consider uploading photos - specifically screen shots - to a well-known (if I don't recognize it, I won't go there) photo sharing service like Flickr.com, and then include the image's URL in your question.
