Just curious about MpfAgent because my cpu’s are at 100% and this process is 99 of it. Help? Can I delete this?
Given that it’s part of the firewall, deleting it seems like a Really Bad Idea. I’d check with the McAfee web site.
I am having the same problem. The new computer I have just bought seems to be a waste!
like 2 days ago my comp caught a trojan and mccaffe supposedly deleted it but now everytime i turn it on it’s real sluggish and CPU usage almost always maxes out. is task manager process ending the best way to take care of this problem? if not how do you manually track and delete viruses?
It depends entirely on what processes specifically are taking your CPU’s time. I would recommend starting with an additional, different, virus scanner and a spyware scanner. Recommendations here: http://ask-leo.com/d-recommend
