this may correct fatel exception 0028:co2a0948 in VXD VWIN32(05) 000012do———GO TO START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS see if WINTOOLS is there. If so remove it. Apparently is is a spyware program and is running in the background causing the problem.
i got this same error message while shutting down the system having windows 98.i did the following steps and issue got resolved
1.start–>run–>type msconfig–>cleared the startup .system was shutdown normally issue also resolved
2. you can also try clearing nv ram and setfactory defaults in windows
I am getting a similair error message and my computer just freezes. I can’t get online through my server or explorer. The error message is vxd dynamic link call:pcandis3 (01)+00002836ti “0028”,service 8029.
What does this mean and how do I fix the problem??

After windows started up i get the following “vxd error 0028:C00360F7 in VXD IFSMGR(01)+ 000297” The ‘puter immediately shutsdown. I’m at wits end. I attempted to uninstall and reload win98 from msdos but i’m missing a file which denies the uninstallation .. undowin98.dat or something close to that. Any ideas?

How do I fix this?
After trying to do a Vista install and didn’t work, I reverted back to installing Windows 98 and am trying to upgrade to XP (the way my comp was previously).
So, I’m upgrading to XP from 98 and get the above error.
Not sure whether to try:

During access of internet , I would be receiving fatal excetion error.
Error Details:
A Fatal exception has occured at 0028:C00144A7 . Current application will be terminated
I would be having this issues very frequently & to get rid of this I have to restart the desktop.
