wireless network adapter is a special case of a network adapter used to connect a computer or other digital device to a wireless network.

Most commonly, wireless network adapters are designed to connect to Wi-Fi wireless networks.

Wireless network adapters are commonly built into most modern laptop and portable computers, but they can also be added, using expansion ports on almost all computers.
