My firewall is saying that services.exe is trying to send
emails… why?
Good on your firewall, to start with. You're
probably either infected with a virus, or more likely, are the victim of
spyware. Besides the obvious virus scan, make sure to run a spyware scan as
well. I have links for both types of tools on my recommendations page.

Why does my home page keep getting changed? My first
reaction to this situation when it arises is spyware – that's one of
the things that some types of spyware do. Grab a spyware scanner and see if
that doesn't clean up the problem.

Can I change the printing defaults in Microsoft Paint?
Not that I've been able to find out. I tend to use PaintShop Pro for my graphics needs, and recently
have been looking into a free open source application called The Gimp, the Gnu Image Manipulation Program.

  1. argh! So CLOSE! hehe.

I found you through google, and I wanted to know how to “set MS Paint defaults”, because, I want to reset the scaling from 100% to “fit 1 x 1 page”.

But like you.. haven’t found how to do it! There also doesn’t seem to be a way to get Paint (in WinXP) to ask you to resize the image if you’re pasting something larger.. it just resizes. There is a DWORD:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\View\NoStretching
But setting this between 0 and 1 has no visible effect.

    Regarding tasklist executables:

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have sd32info.exe either, but it’s an execellent resource.
