I get a pop up when I boot my laptop with XP PRO. I says it can not find C:\windows\system32\bridge.dll.
I also crash to a Blue Screen at random times. Could these be related? How can I fix this?
Bridge.dll is related to adware of some sort, and crashing certainly could result. Here’s
what I suggest:
-
Visit this thread out at Castlecops discussing bridge.dll, the adware
that uses it, and some steps to remove it.
-
Perform a spyware scan. (Make sure the program and spyware definitions are up to date.)
-
Perform a virus scan. (Make sure the program and virus definitions are up to date.)
-
If the crashes persist, run the System File Checker to
see if your system was damaged.
